ABOUT IKAA
One name. Three worlds.
The name
Two meanings live inside one word.
— Meaning I —
One. Singular. Alone.
In Marathi and Sanskrit, ika means one — a single soul, an individual.
— Meaning II —
To sell. To offer.
In spoken Marathi the word vikane — to sell — softens. The “v” fades, and what remains is closer to ika. Not a dictionary definition, but the word as it is lived and spoken.
Ikaa exists between what is chosen and what is offered.
It is the feeling of wearing something that belongs only to you. No one else wears it the same way. No one else carries it the same way.
Each Ikaa piece is named, not numbered — because what is personal is never replaceable. Kusuma. Svarna. Hasti. Indriya.
